Attack of the Mannequins were formed in 2006 in Canoga Park, Los Angeles by brothers Harrison and Jackson Freud. They recorded and released the EP Dog Day Afternoon under the name Sonic Dogma before returning to their birthplace Melbourne, Australia.
After a variety of lineup changes they hooked up with drummer Seb Gregory. With their name consolidated as Attack of the Mannequins they started to develop the distinctive sound of the band.
They were quickly snapped up by Australia's leading agency Premier Artists and began gigging heavily around Melbourne.
They were met with great reviews as they sonically assaulted their unsuspecting audiences.
Matty Ray the sound freak joined on keyboards and noise in June 2009.
The band are currently working on material for their debut album and are playing memorable shows around Los Angeles.
